Just consider that for a minute, we are all so busy wondering why clients leave us or don’t come back that we miss the one important thing- the why do your clients come back?
Being able to answer this question goes a long way in retaining clients as well as growing your client base.
"This could be a direct ask, survey or an Instagram game ......."
1. Create a strategy to get feedback from your customers, this could be a direct ask, survey or an Instagram game. However, you choose to do it the important thing is to actually do it, it’s too important to your business continuation not to
"Do I think my salon should let everyone know that they have this facility ......."
2. Use your feedback for marketing, for example I have a twice weekly blow dry at a local hair salon because it has loads of parking right outside the front door and the parking is free. Do I think my salon should let everyone know that they have this facility- absolutely!!parking is gold dust particularly if you’re a busy working woman/man always in a hurry and don’t want to be late. In fact, there are two salons closer to my house, but I don’t use them because there is no parking beside them and what little there is costs me money, so they lose me as a customer as a result. I’m not saying the salon itself isn’t good but if it wasn’t for the parking, I wouldn’t ever know how good or not they were.
"Is there something you do so brilliantly that people share your name ......."
3. Do you do something particularly well, my lash guru does all beauty treatments, but lashes are her speciality, she is brilliant at it, she is fast and creates an amazing look. Hence everyone goes to her and getting an appointment needs done well in advance she is so in demand. She stopped doing all the other treatments because lashes were where she was in demand. Is there something you do so brilliantly that people share your name and come word of mouth? If so capitalise on this and make sure everyone knows that you’re the guru for that treatment.
"If your customers love your products you can bet that they will be more than happy to share that ......."
4. Can clients buy all their products from you at the same time? If clients like this can you share that ability with non-clients online by setting up a Shopify account for instance and selling direct. If your customers love your products you can bet that they will be more than happy to share that with their friends, especially if it earns them a discount. You will also have converted a non-client of your services into a client of your retail supply thus building a relationship with them which may in future see them become a client of your service as well as your retail
"Use this down time to communicate with clients and ask for feedback ......."
Every bit of information that you can glean from your clients is so important in how you shape your business. Use this down time to communicate with clients and ask for feedback. Let them know that you’re thinking about your business and what improvements you can make to make it better for them. Put your time to good use now and you will see your business grow in the future as a result of putting in the work now.
